Smith & Sons Family Picnic Day

A free day of children's entertainment, stalls and garden activities at the Dunedin Botanic Garden, closing the festival.

The day

Bring a blanket and stay a while

Smith & Sons Family Picnic Day is the last day of Bloom Spring. After ten days of talks, workshops and a weekend of open gardens, the festival finishes with a free day in the Dunedin Botanic Garden for anyone who wants to come along.

10am to 2pm · Free entry · please reserve a ticket

Booking

Why we ask you to book

The day costs nothing to attend. We still ask you to reserve a ticket before you come, for two reasons.

The weather. This is an outdoor day in Ōtepoti Dunedin in spring. If it has to be called off, a ticket gives us a way to tell you. Without your contact details we have no way of reaching you, and you could arrive at the garden to find nothing happening.

Numbers. Knowing roughly how many people are coming lets us plan the day at the right size.

Reserving a ticket takes a minute and there is nothing to pay. The booking page is still being set up, and the link will appear here once it is ready.

On the day

What's happening

The full line-up of entertainment, stalls and activities is still being put together. It will be listed here once it is settled.
